Avarta Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Hong Loon presented to participants detailing Avarta’s mission, vision, and approach to offering users a secure, user-controlled authentication layer in Web 3.0 at the Tokocrypto Sembrani Blockchain Accelerator (TSBA) Demo Day earlier this week.
The Tokocrypto Sembrani Blockchain Accelerator (TSBA) is Indonesia's first Blockchain accelerator, a Joint Initiative by BRI Ventures, the venture capital arm of Indonesia’s leading state-owned bank, BRI, and Indonesia's top cryptocurrency exchange, Tokocrypto. This inaugural program attracted top-quality start-ups from across the region and 13 finalists were chosen, with Avarta being part of it. It offers post-seed startups working on blockchain and tokenization technology access to an eight-week program featuring partner experts in Web 3.0, including
TSBA provides workshops, networking opportunities, and mentoring to projects looking to expand their presence and get closer to achieving their vision. Graduating from the program means not only drawing the eyes of the above venture capital funds, but it also means Avarta has the opportunity to connect with key constituents which helps our mission of becoming the most trusted authentication layer in Web 3.0 space.
In 2021, the concept of adding a biometric layer to a blockchain authentication process was conceived followed shortly by the Avarta whitepaper being written with a clearly defined roadmap.
Now in 2022, the focus has shifted to launching the testnet for the Avarta wallet on five different blockchains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain (BSC), and Solana. By the end of the second quarter they aim for a mainet release which will likely coincide with the first release of their Trust Score Methodology. Towards the end of the year, testnet implementations of Trust Score methodologies are going to be in the works and the official release of them will coincide with the launch and development of more Avarta wallet features.
Host Alina Bramanto kicked off TSBA’s Demo Day on Monday via a live stream that included several other TSBA projects conducting overviews of their brands, their strategies, and their broader visions.
Hong Loon engaged audiences with his presentation around the one-hour 44-minute mark of the live stream.
Avarta is reimagining trust through three different layers that take authentication to the next level in Web 3.0. Hong Loon dives into these layers during his presentation:
The Avarta Network features an Antibot that helps prevent malicious bots and eases the whitelisting process. Doing both of these things is paramount to creating an authentication layer that users can trust.
Avarta’s multi-chain wallet aggregator allows for Trust Scoring, which gives users access to differentiated products such as loans that require lower levels of collateralization. Over-collateralization is a deterrent for many investors in the DeFi space, and the lack of ability to verify user trust is the reason the concept exists.
Avarta offers the world a multi-signature, private biometric wallet intended to protect every single transaction a user might engage in. This keeps funds safe and secure in a simple seamless manner.
Avarta’s vision is clear, and the milestones outlined in Avarta’s roadmap are being achieved steadily with the strong core team behind it. The private investment round closed with investors such as Tokocrypto BlocTech,, Ex Capital, Magnus & Marshland backing the project. Their existing partner base includes some of the brightest names in both the blockchain and technology world including Unstoppable Domains, KPMG Digital Village, Facetec and National Cyber Security Centre. That’s exciting!
Join the TSBA, Hong Loon and the rest of the Avarta team as we look to reimagine the authentication layer for Web 3.0 in ways no blockchain project has ever done before.
